Dr. Leah Monohan
Years in Practice: 25 Education: Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VA Tech)
Dr. Monohan is a native Virginian. She attended the University of Virginia for her bachelor's degree in biology and went on to attend Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VA Tech) for her DVM. She has practiced in Charlottesville, Scottsville, Washington, DC, Maryland's Eastern Shore, and the Caribbean.
Dr. Monohan has had an ongoing interest in small animal medicine and is developing a new interest in veterinary behavioral medicine. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine as a whole is client education, which allows her to meet and foster relationships with pets and their owners.
Outside of work, Dr. Monohan is busy caring for her twin boys, Aidan and Riley (especially doing anything that is outdoors). She hopes to continue some home improvement projects, mosaic art, and watercolor painting in the future. She also enjoys traveling as much as possible. Her household also includes to cats, Mel and Jac in addition to Rose the Mastiff.
Dr. Monohan has been a vital part of the Central Virginia veterinary community and purchased Preddy Creek Animal Clinic in February 2020.
